I am reaching out, as the year draws to a close, to thank you for your various acts of kindness within our community. I know that many colleagues donate to causes and support organizations that are dear to their hearts. As a member of a campus dedicated to inclusive excellence, I am very grateful for your commitment to sharing with those in need.
As we approach the holiday season, and contemplate the New Year ahead, I encourage you to continue to support the families, neighbours, and other members of our communities who benefit from your generosity. As you do so, I appeal to you to consider a donation to the United Way. The University of Toronto’s partnership with United Way has helped to improve the lives of members of our community for more than 20 years. Each year, our staff, faculty, students, alumni, and retirees contribute to the valuable work supported by the United Way. The organization, together with the many beneficiaries of the numerous programs that it helps support, appreciates whatever contribution you can make to enable us to sustain a caring and inclusive community, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
