For more than twenty-five years, in London, Hamilton, and now Toronto, I have been supporting the United Way.
I do that because I have seen first-hand the work that the United Way does to help make all those communities better. In fact, contributing to the United Way ensures that your gift will help people and make the city in which you live a better place. Whether it is senior citizens, refugees, youth, or families in need, the United Way provides support to them all.
Did you know that more than 300,000 newcomers or refugees in our area receive help from the United Way? Or that more than 60,000 young people between the ages of 13 and 24 receive support from the United Way programs that help them with counselling, mentoring or job training?
The story of the United Way, and the aid it can provide, never ends.
There are so many good causes to support and so many who need our help. I am writing today to ask you to consider making a contribution to make our city better, for everyone, by giving to the United Way.
You will be making an investment to keep our city great, and in some cases, make it even better than it is today.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the team at unitedway@utoronto.ca.
Thank you for your time, and I hope, your support.
Best,
