In Ontario, the Employment Standards Act (2000) sets minimum standards in respect of various terms of employment.

The Employment Standards Act (ESA) was recently amended to require employers to provide each employee with a copy of a poster published by the Ministry of Labour summarizing the Act. Your copy is available to download on the HR & Equity website. You will also receive an email or letter with information on how to download a copy shortly.

If desired, employees without access to a printer may make arrangements with their HR Divisional Office or their Supervisor to print this poster at a mutually convenient and agreed-upon time during their breaks and lunch. You are not required to print out the poster.
