The University of Toronto has been named one of the Top Employers for Canadians Over 40 for 2015. This award is given to employers who lead the nation in creating special programs and benefits of interest to employees aged 40 years and older.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the University of Toronto has been selected as one of the Top Employers for Canadians Over 40.

Richard Yerema, the Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, emphasizes the importance of this award and says “From financial security to emotional well-being, how employers treat their staff in the second-half of their careers is often far more important than what they do in the first half.”

Canada’s Top Employers for Canadians over 40 is an annual competition run by Mediacorp Canada Inc. in partnership with the Globe and Mail. U of T was recently named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2015, one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2015, one of Canada’s Top Diversity Employers and one of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers for 2015.
