The University’s True Blue Award recognizes and celebrates some of the exemplary faculty, librarians and staff whose contributions make the U of T an excellent place to work.
We are pleased to share a selection of our True Blue Award winners from the past few months. Anyone who works at U of T can nominate colleagues for the True Blue Award by submitting an informal recognition on the True Blue Recognition Platform. Informal recognitions sent on the platform that highlight outstanding contributions are automatically shared with the recipient’s manager. Expressing gratitude for our colleague’s work is an integral part of fostering a culture of inclusion and appreciation at the University of Toronto.
Meet our True Blue
Kimiya
Kimiya was recognized for dedicated work on virtual student programming at University College. This work has fostered community while providing students with up-to-date information in a new and entertaining way.
Rajko
Rajko was recognized for supporting the off-site clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry. The professionalism & knowledge Rajko bring has helped the faculty to continue educating its students throughout the pandemic.
Jennifer
Jennifer was recognized for being a panelist at an Advancement College Session. Jennifer went ‘above and beyond’ to make an enthusiastic & supportive presentation to colleagues.
Maheesha
Maheesha was recognized for work on the “Alumni of Influence Gala in a Box.” A safe, physically distanced event, exercising fiscal restraint that met high expectations with every detail thoroughly planned.
Sally
Sally was recognized for reimagining a hiring carousel process into an entirely virtual experience. Sally coordinated over 120 candidate interviews in one day and created online rubrics to improve consistency and efficiency.
Kevin
Kevin was recognized for preparing an outstanding series of remarks, projections, meeting notes and presentations, demonstrating initiative, drive, dedication and support throughout a hectic time.
Jermaine
Jermaine was recognized for arranging extraordinary assistance during the pandemic for a course instructor. Thoughtfulness and thoroughness saved their colleagues from a great deal of extra and unnecessary work.
Kimberly
