In late 2015, the University of Toronto launched an enhanced Employee Self-Service (ESS), which simplified the process for employees to view and print their T4 (tax) slips, as well as their annual pension and pay statements, in a more secure and convenient way.

Since its launch, the resource has been well-received with the majority of faculty, librarians and staff members logging in to access and print their statements.

As a result of this success, starting February 2018, U of T will provide paperless T4 slips through ESS only. Should you wish to request a paper delivery of your 2017 and future T4 slips, please log into ESS and submit the request online no later than January 31, 2018. Any requests submitted after this date will affect T4 distribution starting in 2019.
