Processing New Wage Rates re CUPE 3902 Unit 1 Collective Agreement Implementation

Further to our message on March 12, 2018, the new wage schedule for CUPE 3902 Unit 1 effective January 1, 2018 is now available in HRIS. Below are the detailed processing instructions with respect to the retroactive wage increases for the employees in this bargaining unit.

What you need to do by the April 23 monthly pay close?

If you have an existing appointment that extends past September 2017 into the current year, please ensure you end it and start a new segment effective January 1, 2018 for the remainder of the appointment using the rates in the Wage Schedule below.

Processing Details in HRIS

  1. You may run the following reports to help identify the employee records that requires update:
  1. Execute the following steps to update the new wage rate based on the wage schedule as attached:
    1. Change any applicable Additional Payments with corresponding original payment date from January 1, 2018 and onwards.
    2. Delimit applicable existing Recurring Payments with the end date as of December 31, 2017 and Create a new segment with starting date as of January 1, 2018 to reflect the new wage rate and original contract term.
    3. For all appointments commencing January 1, 2018 and onward, please change to the appropriate wage rate as listed in the Wage Schedule below.
