U of T’s Division of HR & Equity (HRE) launched its inaugural HRE Awards of Distinction, which celebrates and recognizes exceptional contributions towards achieving the mission and vision of the Division and University at large.
Professor Kelly Hannah-Moffat, Vice-President, Human Resources & Equity, presented the awards to the winning HR team and individual recipients at a luncheon reception on Thursday, January 31. The three award categories recognized HR community members who exemplify the values of the Division in their daily work and in their interactions with internal clients, and who achieved outstanding results overall by positively impacting the division they support.
“Whether as a team, or individually, today’s award recipients exemplify our values and contribute to the outstanding work that is critical to supporting the University,” said Hannah-Moffat. “Their exceptional service and dedication to clients and fellow colleagues embodies the excellence that defines our U of T community — we recognize and thank them for their tireless efforts.”

The HRE Awards of Distinction were established in 2018 to provide HR staff with an opportunity to recognize individuals or teams that exemplify the Division’s values and performed outstanding work throughout the year. The program is part of an extensive Recognition and Engagement strategy that advances the University’s mission and enhances the University experience for the entire community.
