Re: | Employee Child Care needs in the event the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario engages in Job Action |
Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) members will be in a legal position to impose job sanctions on May 10, 2015. Job sanctions could include work to rule, rotating strikes or a full strike.
If job sanctions result in rotating strikes or a full strike, many parents and caregivers will need to make childcare arrangements. We hope that all Managers will attempt to be flexible and accommodate these arrangements if and as necessary, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
On-campus childcare services will not be affected by EFTO job sanctions. However, parents with children attending a childcare centre located in a school should confirm with the childcare operator if they will remain open during a strike.
