About these Awards

  • Chancellor’s Award
    Nomination Deadline: Noon – January 28, 2016
    Administrative staff members are critical to the University’s achievement of its vision, mission and major goals. In recognition of the important role of administrative staff, two Chancellor’s Awards will be presented each year: (i) one to a staff member who demonstrates significant potential to assume more senior leadership in the organization – The Emerging Leader; (ii) and one to a staff member who has continually demonstrated innovative leadership to achieve outstanding contributions to the University by motivating and empowering others – The Influential Leader. All administrative staff members (union and non union) are eligible for these awards.
  • Ludwik and Estelle Jus Memorial Human Rights Prize
    Nomination Deadline: Noon – January 28, 2016
    The award is presented to a faculty, staff or student member of the University who has made a positive and lasting contribution to education and action against discrimination. Prize winners have included a wide variety individuals who have been recognized for their scholarship, personal service to others, or activities in support of the University’s commitment to the values of equal opportunity, equity and justice.
  • Excellence Through Innovation Award (ETIA)
    Nomination Deadline: February 1, 2016
    U of T’s Excellence Through Innovation Award (ETIA) recognizes the contributions of administrative staff in advancing the University’s strategic objectives, encouraging administrative innovation and providing a platform for sharing best practices.
  • International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD) Award
    Nomination Deadline: February 12, 2016
    U of T’s IDERD Campaign provides a unique platform for the University to recognize and profile the excellent work that students, staff and faculty are undertaking to advance anti-racism while contributing to the University’s commitment to create diverse, equitable and inclusive teaching, learning and working environments.
