The new communication channel was developed as a result of feedback from faculty and staff members who wanted another way to access information related to working at the University of Toronto.

Areas of Focus: CommunicationsManaged by the communications team in the Division of Human Resources & Equity, @workingatuoft will provide general information on important dates and deadlines, program launches, job postings, career development tips, and profiles on some of the people who work here. Another audience @workingatuoft hopes to attract are prospective faculty and staff who want to learn more about U of T’s workplace culture.

The first Tweet was issued last month and the team is now working to actively promote the channel and encourage you to be a part of its growth by following us and letting us know what kind of information you would like to see.

At U of T we continue to work on ways to enhance our communications to all employees, as highlighted by the results from the latest ‘Speaking Up’ Employee Engagement Survey’, which identified Communications as an area needing development as one of the  ‘Areas of Focus’.
