On Sunday, October 5, the HR Happy Feat team joined thousands of walkers and runners as part of the CIBC Run for the Cure, and succeeded in raising over $13,000 for breast cancer research. Comprised of staff from HR & Equity, as well as other portfolios, this exceeded the team’s goal by more than $5,000 and made a strong contribution to U of T’s overall fundraising efforts.

“The team did an amazing job this year,” said Sharon Grandison, an HR director and team captain. “The team members were engaged, enthusiastic and so generous with their time and contributions. We are thrilled with the results in support of this great cause.”

Across Canada, 127,000 participants raised over $25 million dollars for breast cancer research, education and advocacy at the 2014 CIBC Run for the Cure. The 2015 Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2015.
