The United Steelworkers Local 1998 are holding an additional Ratification Meeting for the renewal Staff-Appointed Collective Agreement on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. USW Staff-Appointed employees need to be given release time to attend this meeting.

In accordance with the ‘Letter of Understanding: Union Meetings’ in the USW Staff-Appointed Collective Agreement, “employees will be given time off (not to exceed two (2) hours), with no loss of regular straight time pay, up to three (3) times per year to attend General Membership Meetings of the Local Union”. Employees are required to notify their manager if they are attending the meeting.
