Re: Action Required: Updating Vacation Records on HRIS Prior to April Pay Close on April 23

Please ensure that vacation records are up to date in HRIS before pay close for April.

Note that we will continue to monitor HRIS vacation balances across the University both as part of the institutional April 30, 2018 year-end audit and as part of quarterly audits of departments with high balances, and may contact you to follow up on employees with large vacation balances.

Thank you for your cooperation and for your efforts to date in completing timely updates.

Vacation Reports

The following reports can be accessed in HRIS to track individuals who may have high balances, and can be requested from your Divisional HR Office or Business Officers:

  • The Vacation Entitlement Report Download can be used to view an individual employee’s (or an entire Organizational Units’) vacation entitlement and balance as of the previous completed month.
  • The Vacation Projection Report can be used to view an estimate of an individual employee’s (or an entire Organizational Unit’s) scheduled vacation time and projected vacation time (by month) at a future point in time.

In addition to these reports, managers who are part of the Manager Self-Service (MSS) pilot can use the service to view an individual employee’s (or their entire team’s) vacation liability, vacation balance, vacation projection, and absence summary.
