Further to the recent USW Local 1998 – Staff Appointed ratification memo, eligible employees are entitled to a retroactive 4% Across-the-Board (ATB) increase, effective July 1, 2026 based on their June 30, 2026 salary.
Eligible appointed USW include those who were actively employed in the bargaining unit as of the ratification date of September 18, 2026.

Key Processing Information
The retroactive ATB increase will be processed centrally on October 9 at 5:00pm for eligible appointed USW whose records do not contain processing exceptions.
Departments are required to:
- Run the USW ATB Exception and Update Report
- Review any employees identified with exceptions and refer to the USW Exception Descriptions and Corrective Action Reference Chart for the appropriate processing action
- Complete all necessary updates before the October 22 payroll processing deadline
