On Monday, May 1, 2023, graduate and postdoctoral-level researchers as well as their supporters may choose to engage in advocacy coordinated by the Support Our Science initiative. The initiative has been organized in response to the recently-released federal budget and its impact on research funding from the federal research funding agencies.*

Supervisors who receive requests to attend the May 1 initiative from graduate or postdoctoral researchers or from others who wish to express their support are encouraged to be flexible, where operationally feasible. Anyone else interested in attending events on this day is encouraged to do so outside of their regular work hours.
