Required AODA Training Reminder

Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act the University is required to provide training to all employees on the AODA standards, the Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to disability, and providing service to persons with disabilities. As such, all staff, faculty and librarians are required to take the University’s 30-minute online training module meeting these requirements. This training is provided by the University’s AODA Office and hosted on SuccessFactors.

It is important that all employees complete this training. This memo serves as a reminder to ensure that those in your respective Divisions are aware of the need to take this training and are given the opportunity to do so. Completion of this training will help to make sure the University is complying with the AODA and create an environment of belonging. Please share this information as appropriate.

To confirm if this training has been taken, employees can review their ‘Learning History’ in SuccessFactors, and if they have direct reports, ensure that they do the same. If employees have not taken the training, it will show up in the ‘My Learning Assignments’ section. They may also see a pop-up about it under ‘For You Today’ and can view all of this information in ‘Learning Home’, after signing in to SuccessFactors.

If anyone has any technical issues with the training, they can review the LMS Help section of their ‘Learning Home’, or contact lms.help@utoronto.ca. If anyone wishes to request an alternative version of the training, they can contact aoda@utoronto.ca.
