We are writing to encourage you to complete the University’s Employment Equity Survey. The survey is accessible to all University employees and can be accessed via Employee Self-Service. Responses received up to and including December 31, 2021 will be included in next year’s Employment Equity Report. We ask that all employees take a moment to review and update data that has already been submitted, and to complete the survey for those that have not yet done so by December 14, 2021.
The University cannot progress in its commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion without collecting equity data in a meaningful way and making this data available in a clear and digestible format. Annually, the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture publishes a Report on Employment Equity which provides a snapshot of the composition of the University’s tri-campus employees, using data collected by the University’s Employment Equity Survey.
About the Employment Equity Survey
This short survey is the University’s method of collecting equity data in a meaningful way. The data provides us with a critical foundation from which to measure how we are advancing a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive working and learning environment at U of T.
What does this mean to me?
All University of Toronto employees (including appointed and non-appointed) are asked to complete the voluntary, confidential online survey via Employee Self-Service (ESS).
Please login to ESS to complete or update your responses to the Employment Equity Survey to ensure that the equity data available is reflective of our University community.
You may choose to answer select questions only and can select more than one answer for each question. You may also update your information at any time.
How do I complete the survey?
To access the survey via Employee Self-Service, log in using your UTORid and password on the Employee Self-Service (ESS) webpage.
