Sept. 22, 2021 The Division of Human Resources & Equity is now called the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in the Workplace

As the U of T community prepares to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we are attaching an informational guide regarding the observances. Please feel free to circulate this information broadly so that you and members of your division can familiarize yourselves with the meaning and traditions that are significant to many.

Download the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Inclusive Employer Guide.

Becoming familiar with the religious and cultural observances of our community is an important part of promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ensuring staff feel supported. With this in mind, we will be sharing similar information on other religious and cultural holidays as we move through the calendar year and a collection of all available Inclusive Employer Guides may be found at EDI at U of T. Additional dates of religious observances may be found in the Multi-Faith Centre’s list of religious and cultural days.
