Launching the 2024 Chancellor’s Leadership and President’s Excellence Awards

I am pleased to announce that nominations are now open for two awards within our Pinnacle Awards Program to recognize exceptional contributions by administrative staff and librarians at U of T—the Chancellor’s Leadership Award and the President’s Excellence Award. Through our partnership with the Division of University Advancement, these awards are aligned with the University’s broader Awards of Excellence Program.

Our institution’s success largely relies on the talent, dedication, and efforts of administrative staff and librarians across the tri-campus. These awards raise awareness of their significant role in supporting the University’s mission.

Any University of Toronto community member can nominate staff and librarians for the Chancellor’s Leadership and President’s Excellence Awards. I encourage you to read the award criteria overview below and share it with colleagues beyond your division. For more information, please visit the Awards of Excellence website.

The Chancellor’s Leadership Award

The Chancellor’s Leadership Award recognizes administrative staff (unionized and non-unionized) and librarians who demonstrate outstanding leadership and significantly advance the University’s mission to foster an academic community in which the learning and scholarship of every member may flourish. There are three categories of the Chancellor’s Leadership Award.

The President’s Excellence Award

The President’s Excellence Award recognizes administrative staff (unionized and non-unionized) and librarians for their outstanding service to the University and their role in enhancing the University experience for students, faculty members, librarians and / or staff in accordance with the University’s mission. There are three categories of the President’s Excellence Award.

Nomination Details

Nominations for the Chancellor’s Leadership and President’s Excellence Awards can be made on the True Blue Recognition Platform until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023.
