Re: | Launch of the 2017 Performance Assessment Process |
Assessments begin April 24, 2017
This is to inform colleagues and their respective managers that the annual performance assessment process starts on April 24, 2017, for those in the Professional & Managerial, Confidential, and Advancement Professional employee groups.
The process for Research Associates and Senior Research Associates will launch in May.
Purpose
Performance assessment is an important means of clarifying expectations, focusing priorities and discussing opportunities for employee development.
Although the formal process takes place annually, I encourage managers and employees to have ongoing, meaningful conversations throughout the year. Focus not only on performance results and expectations but also on future professional development goals.
Legislated compensation restraint remains in effect for non-union employees until a new Executive Compensation Framework is established for the University of Toronto. Further details pertaining to this year’s merit and across-the-board (ATB) adjustments will be communicated once they are available.
Complete details on this year’s annual performance assessment process will be available late next week.
