Further to the Provost’s memo (PDAD&C #30), 2022 Compensation update for Confidential, PM, AP and RA / SRA staff, and USW Local 1998 – Staff Appointed ratification memo, the following faculty and staff groups will have the corresponding salary increases effective July 1, 2022.

The salary increases must be processed in HRIS by July 22 monthly pay close.
The following reports must be generated before to capture June 30, 2022 recorded data and after processing the salary increases based on July 1, 2022 – December 31, 9999 reporting period:
- HR Data Verification Report
- Appointment Details Report – ZHSQAPPTDETL
- Basic Pay Report – ZHSQBASICPAY
- Absence Summary Report (Paid and Unpaid Long Term Absence)
It is important to note that any Appointment Changes, Progression on the Grid, Updates on CC/CFC effective July 1, 2022 and onwards should be processed after the salary increases have been done in order to minimize exceptions on the employee’s record.

2. USW
The ATB increase will be automated centrally on July 8 at 5:00 pm for USW staff, excluding those employees with exceptions on their record. Departments will need to run the USW ATB Exception and Update Report and refer to the USW Exception Descriptions and Corrective Action Reference Chart for the appropriate transaction to be executed.
This chart outlines the various scenarios and the corresponding reference guides for those with exceptions, that will not be centrally updated.

Questions with respect to eligibility for Appointed Staff Group should be directed to your Divisional HR Office.
Please contact Central Payroll Services through the HR Service Centre, to update the Basic Pay IT0008 for those employees receiving a Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) on July 1 for an approved leave of absence, by July 19 payroll forms submission deadline. Approved leave of absences include Pregnancy, Parental, Adoption, Primary Caregiver Leave or Compassionate Family Caregiver Leave.
