Coming Soon! 2023/2024 Goal Setting Process – Advancement Professionals

Dear colleagues,

On October 18, 2023, the Goal Setting process for employees in the Advancement Professional (AP) group will launch.

Goal Setting is a part of the annual review process that incorporates proactive planning to establish clear performance expectations and development goals for staff members. This is a collaborative process that should involve discussion and mutual agreement of the plan between the staff member and their manager. Goal Setting is a critical component in a staff member’s development, success and engagement, and an important part of the Performance Assessment Process.

New for 2023/2024

This year’s annual Performance Assessment features updated organizational competencies (benchmark behaviours). The new competencies are leadership; equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI); collaboration; stewardship; and innovation and excellence. These changes underscore our commitment to EDI, and better reflect how the workplace has changed in the two decades since we initially developed our organizational competencies.

Please note that Goal Setting is mandatory for Advancement Professionals.

Eligible employees will record their goals and professional development activities in the Employee SuccessFactors ”Goals” and “Professional Development” modules for the performance review period. Employee SuccessFactors is the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture (PSEC)’s talent management suite which includes the Goal Setting and Performance Assessment processes.

Further details on the process launch will be provided in a separate communication in the coming days.
