| Re: | Changes resulting from January 1, 2018 increase in minimum wage rates |
On January 1, 2018, minimum wage rates in Ontario are increasing to comply with changes to the Employment Standards Act (ESA).
- General minimum wage rate will go up from $11.60 to $14.00
- Special minimum wage rate for Liquor Servers will go up from $10.10 to $12.20
As a result, please note the following specific wage increases which will be implemented in HRIS and attendance systems (i.e. Kronos, Timelink) effective January 1, 2018:
