I’m writing to announce the final changes to the HR & Equity Communications team.
As you may know, over the past few months there have been a series of discussions about how best to support the communications needs within the Office of the Vice-President, Human Resources & Equity as well as the requirements of the broader Human Resources and Equity portfolio.
We have created two partner communications units – one to support the needs of the Office of the Vice-President, Human Resources & Equity, and one to support the broader portfolio of Human Resources & Equity and the Divisional HR Offices. These units will work hand in hand to ensure alignment, integration, and communications / change support for all of our various annual processes, initiatives, and events.
Recruitment is still ongoing for the unit supporting the Office of the VP HRE, but I’m happy to provide information regarding the HR Communications & Change team that will be supporting us here in the Division!
Hayley Fuller will lead the team in her role of Communications & Change Manager. She will continue to have responsibility for planning and leading strategic change, culture, and communications initiatives that directly impact the employee experience at the University of Toronto. Hayley will be continue to ensure that we have alignment between communications about the day-to-day processes & operations of the Division and the change management & communications for all significant & transformational projects impacting the delivery of HR service across the University.
Supporting Hayley will be a team of three individuals: a Digital Communications Specialist, a Communications & Change Officer, and an HR Information Management Analyst (SharePoint).
Will Campbell, the Digital Communications Specialist, has been with us since September 2017. He will continue to be responsible for the architecture, design, and maintenance of the HR & Equity website, as well as providing general communications support to the team.
Alex DiGioseffo will be joining the University as of May 24 in the newly created Communications & Change Officer role. Alex will be responsible for the day-to-day communications & writing for the Division, contributing to our communications strategy for engaging our faculty & staff, leading our social media efforts, and providing communications and change management support for our Strategic Initiatives team. Finally, we are currently recruiting for the term position of HR Information Management Analyst (SharePoint). Working with all stakeholders in the Division, this individual will be responsible for leading the development, administration, and maintenance of our internal SharePoint site (the “HR & Equity Documents Hub”), and will be taking the lead on our file plan and document retention policies. This role will work very closely with Will to ensure the right information is being shared on the HR & Equity website vs our new SharePoint site.
The HR Communications & Change team will be located on the 8th and 9th Floor of 215 Huron, and our HR Contact Directory will be updated shortly to reflect these changes. An updated org chart for the Division is attached for your information.
