I am pleased to announce we have launched the 2025 People Strategy, Equity & Culture (PSEC) Awards of Distinction program. The program provides faculty members, librarians, and staff across the institution with an opportunity to recognize individuals or teams from the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture and the Divisional HR Offices who exemplify our principles and practices and perform outstanding work throughout the year.
The PSEC Awards of Distinction program is integral to the University’s recognition and engagement strategy, which aims to encourage excellence and foster a culture of appreciation throughout our institution.
Four categories of achievement-based awards are available to recognize individuals and teams/groups within our community:
- Living Our Values Award
- Emerging Leader Award
- Distinguished Contribution Award – Individual
- Distinguished Contribution – Team of the Year Award
Any employee or supervisor can nominate individuals or teams from the Division or Divisional HR Offices for the program. However, we do not accept self-nominations, nor can nominators include themselves as a member of a team nomination.

Nominations can be made on the True Blue Recognition Platform until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025.
