Dear colleagues,

I would like to announce the launch of the 2019/2020 Goal Setting process.

Goal Setting is a part of the annual review process. This proactive planning step establishes clear performance expectations and outlines development goals for staff members. Goal Setting is a collaborative process that should involve discussion and mutual agreement of the plan between the staff member and their manager. It is a critical component of a staff member’s development, success and engagement.

The Goal Setting process for employees in the Professional Managerial, Confidential and Research Associate / Senior Research Associate groups will launch on October 1st. The process for Advancement Professionals will launch on October 15th.

This year, all employees in the PM, Confidential, AP and SRA/RA employee groups will record their goals in the new Employee SuccessFactors system. Employee SuccessFactors is the Division of HR & Equity’s new talent management suite that consolidates various processes that were previously managed in different systems, including the Goal Setting and Performance Assessment processes.

Further details on the process launch will be provided in a separate communication in the coming days.
