Re: 2016 Annual Performance Assessment Process

This is to inform colleagues and their respective managers that the annual performance assessment process starts on April 21, 2016 for those in the Professional & Managerial, Confidential and Advancement Professional employee groups.

The process for Research Associates and Senior Research Associates will launch in May. Annual Performance Assessment is an important means of clarifying expectations, focusing priorities and discussing opportunities for development of employees.

As was the case last year, legislated compensation restraint remains in place and we are currently looking at how we will meet this expectation for the current year.

The process will use the online Performance Assessment Tool for PM, Confidential Research Associates & Senior Research Associates staff.

Advancement Professionals will continue to use the paper performance assessment forms, with plans to move that group to the online tool in 2017. Later this year, we will pilot a new online goal- setting process for the 2016 – 2017 review period, with the AP- Program Managers. Details about the pilot will be sent directly to pilot participants.
