Compensation Restraint Legislation Information Session

I would like to invite all Professional and Managerial staff to attend a meeting to discuss issues related to working within the compensation restraint legislation*. Any ideas you might have regarding enhancements to working conditions that may be compliant with the legislation will be welcomed. If possible, please forward questions or ideas to vp.hr@utoronto.ca in advance of the meetings.

The other item on the agenda will be an update on pension governance.

The meetings will be held:

The meetings will also be transmitted by videoconference to the University of Toronto Scarborough in MW229, on both October 14th and 15th, and to the University of Toronto Mississauga in the Council Chamber, Rm. 3130-South Building, on October 15th only.

*The compensation restraint legislation requires that there not be an increase to pay/benefits for a two year period starting March 24, 2010 and ending March 31, 2012 (there are some exceptions including performance driven merit increases implemented in accordance with existing policies).
