- Step Up and Name It! Contest
The Stepping UP Award was created in 2005 to recognize outstanding contributions of administrative staff to the University’s Stepping UP strategic objectives. With the conclusion of the five-year Stepping UP plan in 2010, it is necessary to rename the award to keep them aligned with the University of Toronto’s new strategic direction as outlined in Towards 2030.
To highlight the profile of this important award, we are seeking submissions for a new name from all eligible administrative staff – the Step Up and Name It! Contest. I urge you to encourage your Confidential, P/M, AP and non-academic unionized staff members to submit their ideas for a new contest name. A communication to all eligible administrative staff members will be distributed shortly.
This recognition award is an excellent method for the University to foster administrative innovation, to share best practices and to strengthen the engagement of administrative staff. The focus of the award is to recognize the outstanding contributions of administrative staff to advancing the University’s strategic objectives. In 2009 we celebrated the achievements of 183 Stepping Up recipients, with 14 individuals and 25 groups representing all three campuses.
Submission forms and more information on the Step Up and Name It! Contest may be found at https://people.utoronto.ca/news/SteppingUP/contest.htm.
