- Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
The annual University of Toronto “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009. All staff and faculty are welcome to bring their daughters and sons in grades 4 to 7 with them to work on that day.
As in previous years, an information flyer has been sent to all staff and faculty members inviting them to participate. Registration forms are available on www.hrandequity.utoronto.ca/news/tdswd09 website. Where web access is not readily accessible, forms will be available at various locations throughout the St. George Campus. For a list of events at the Mississauga and Scarborough Campuses, please visit www.utm.utoronto.ca/tods andwww.utsc.utoronto.ca/~hrhome/takekidstowork09.html respectively.
The day involves many different components: an official welcome in the morning, followed by a guest speaker and many different departmental tours for children to choose from. Lunch will be in two different locations- the Great Hall in Hart House or the cafeteria in the Medical Sciences Building. Children eat for free and parents can join their children for lunch at a reduced cost of $5.00. After lunch, children will accompany their parents to their respective workplaces for the remainder of the day.
We look forward to welcoming faculty and staff with their daughters and sons on April 23th, to share the work day, to have fun, and to visit some of the most interesting places on the University Campus. We hope to see you there!
