CUPE, Local 1361 Ratification Meetings

I am pleased to announce that a tentative settlement for a renewal collective agreement has been reached with CUPE, Local 3261 (Full Time) representing approximately 575 staff including ancillary services, athletics, caretaking, grounds services, foodservice and medicine employees.

The Union will hold ratification meetings on each of the 3 campuses.

Monday, September 11, 2006 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the St. George campus in the Bahen Centre for Information Technology, 40 St. George Street, Room 1190.

Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Mississauga campus in the South Building, room 1104.

Wednesday, September 13, 2006 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Scarborough campus in the Council Chamber in the Arts Administration Building, Room AA160.

It is important that Managers provide release time for employees to attend the ratification meeting and vote on the tentative settlement.

We are pleased with the settlement and are confident that the Union will ratify the tentative collective agreement. Details about the settlement will be available after the ratification.
