The annual salary increase process requires the reporting of any OTO payments being made in conjunction with the annual merit base increases to P/M staff in salary levels P/M 6 to P/M 9. If you are planning to award any OTO payments to P/M staff within these salary levels, please submit a brief paragraph explaining the rationale for the payment including whether or not this is in accordance with a contractual agreement between the University and the staff member. Please submit your information by June 27, 2007 directly to Deborah Ovsenny Manager, Compensation at deborah.ovsenny@utoronto.ca.
It should be noted that any proposed OTO payments above $5,000 for any P/M staff must be submitted to the Vice President, Human Resources & Equity for review and discussion with the applicable Division Head, and for approval by the President. A brief paragraph explaining the rationale for the payment should be included. If you are planning to move forward with a payment above $5,000 in conjunction with the annual salary adjustment program, please submit your information on your P/M staff by June 27, 2007 directly to Deborah Ovsenny Manager, Compensation at deborah.ovsenny@utoronto.ca. OTO payments above this $5,000 threshold should not be processed until approvals have been confirmed.
