Featured Offering | Open Doors: Faith & Anti-Racism at U of T
Our Open Doors sessions provide opportunities for small groups of EDI Leads, senior administrators, and other U of T community members to visit diverse intellectual and community hubs on campus to have candid conversations about issues affecting religious/spiritual/creed-based and race-based communities.

Religious Accommodations & Dates of Recognition, Observance & Celebration
The University works cooperatively and respectfully to explore and implement appropriate creed-based accommodation options in its working, learning, teaching, and research environments. Learn more about the Policy on Scheduling of Classes and Examinations and Other Accommodations for Religious Observances and see the University’s Inclusive Employer Guides to facilitate inclusive institutional planning and discover more about the various traditions observed and celebrated by many in our community.
For support with addressing accommodation requests, you may reach out to the IEO at psec.equity@utoronto.ca.Reference Group on Multi-Faith Spaces
A new tri-campus group has been established to ensure that multi-faith spaces on campus are accessible, inclusive, and meet the needs of a broad range of religious/spiritual/faith and creed-based communities.
If you are a manager of a multi-faith space or are in the process of designing one, you may reach out to the IEO or the Multi-Faith Centre for guidance. If you wish to provide feedback on a multi-faith space on campus, you may do so by contacting our team.
Multi-Faith Engagement Opportunities
The Multi-Faith Centre supports the spiritual well-being of students on the St. George campus and provides opportunities for students to learn from each other while exploring questions of meaning, purpose and identity. The Centre also provides opportunities to engage with faith and spiritual leaders from a number of communities. UTM’s Campus Faith Leader’s Association promotes cooperative interaction and spiritual development for faith communities on campus, and UTSC’s Multi-Faith Engagement Program includes a variety of services and programs that foster interfaith community, as well as supports and learning opportunities.
Spaces for Spiritual Observances
For those looking for multi-faith spaces which can accommodate prayer, meditation, and other religious/spiritual and creed-based practices, please refer to the following at St. George Campus, UTSC, and UTM. You can also search for Multi-Faith Spaces on the U of T Digital Map.

EDI in a Global Context
As people navigate their work and learning environments during times of global strife and crisis, they may require very different types of programs, services, supports, and resources. Learn about the broad range of engagement and education opportunities available to you at U of T.
Well-being & Other Supports
For student wellness, health and mental health supports, please see https://mentalhealth.utoronto.ca/ where you will find information and links to resources across all three campuses. The health centre staff offer mental health counselling and upon request, can assist students in locating supports that are culturally responsive to different faith, ethnocultural, religious and spiritual communities across U of T and in the community. Faculty, librarians, staff, and their families have access to wellness and mental health support through the Employee & Family Assistance Program. Community Check-Ins are also available for all students, staff, faculty, and librarians.
