This resource has been prepared in the context of the rising incidence of antisemitism at U of T and in broader society and is intended to reaffirm the U of T’s commitment to providing welcoming and inclusive environments for learning, research, and working. It aims to clarify the implications of the existing legal and policy context as they relate to incidents of antisemitism across the tri-campus.
Review of the Statement on Prohibited Discrimination and Discriminatory Harassment
The review of Statement aims to update and clarify the Statement’s language and content. As part of the review, the Co-Chairs will consider the pathways for complaints and ensure the Statement meets the University’s legislated responsibilities. Members of the U of T community are invited to review the Statement and share their thoughts and feedback during this consultation phase of the Review.
Report on the Role of Campus Safety in Responding to Students in Mental Health Crises
To be accountable to fulfilling our responsibility to our community, we convened a Review Committee in Spring 2021 to assess institutional responses to students experiencing mental health crises. The Review Committee’s 19 recommendations are wide-ranging and comprehensive, touching on many areas already undergoing change within Campus Safety and across our three campuses.
